Sunday at Cornerstone - 3/30/08

Looking forward to a great Sunday at Cornerstone! This will be a special day! We will be holding several baptisms this weekend! There will be 2 in the 9:00 service, 2 in the 10:30 service, and then the church is invited to the Youth Service Sunday night at 6:30 when several teenagers will follow the Lord in believer's baptism! We are so excited to celebrate with these believers! Please plan to be here this Sunday . . . . you'll be glad you did!

No AWANA Tonight!

Just a quick reminder that there is no AWANA Club meeting tonight. Hope to see everyone back next Wednesday night at 6:15!

Youth Group to Mt. Hermon!

Please pray for Pastor Dave, Darcy, and our youth leaders as they lead our youth group for a service project week at Mt. Hermon! They leave Monday morning for a week of fun and fellowship. Have a great trip, gang!

Palm Sunday at Cornerstone!

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem! This is a special Sunday as our Children's Choir, under the direction of Lori Indelicato, will be leading our worship time in both services. Pastor Jim will be continuing our look at the subject of Prayer. It is sure to be a blessing! Bring a friend!

Activity for "The Classics!"

Join "The Classics" (our new ministry for adults over 50) for their March activity, "Wearing o' the Green" this Saturday night (3/15)! Meet in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 - we'll be serving corned beef and cabbage! Bring your favorite game to play (if you'd rather not play games, then just come for the dinner and fellowship)! Name Tags!

What’s in a Name Tag?

Sunday we reintroduced Name Tags to our church. Yes, Name Tags. We request that you take the time each week to create one and wear it. Immediately questions like these were raised: Are these necessary? Do we have to? People already know me what’s the point? Can’t we have pre-made ones made that we keep and bring each week?

Maybe this will help! Name tags are not for us! They are for others who do not know us. They are for the benefit of our guests and those new to the church. Pre-made Tags shows you are on the “inside” while those with paper name tags or on the “outside.” If everyone is wearing the same type of tag new people do not know if this is your first week here or if you have been here for 20 years. Name Tags help to create a more comfortable climate for those who are new to the church.

People are precious to Jesus. Let’s show our love for the LORD by showing His love to others by taking the time to put on a tag!
